Biofeedback
Biofeedback is a treatment technique where patients are trained to improve their health and well-being by using physiological signals from their own bodies. Dr. Voisine utilizes equipment that scientifically measures heart rhythms (HRV, heart rate variability). HRV is a non-invasive measure that reflects heart to brain interactions and autonomic nervous system dynamics, which are sensitive to emotional changes. The goal of biofeedback sessions is to reduce stress, increase energy, balance emotions, increase creativity and enhance performance by increasing coherence, or the harmony between our psychological state and our physical state. With coherence, our nervous system, cardiovascular, hormonal and immune systems work more efficiently.
