Mission: Sticks & Stones was a passion project. It was rooted in genuine efforts and with the straightforward mission of disseminating hope and healing in the attempt to help (in whatever way possible) humans, animals, and the Earth.
About: Started during the pandemic in an attempt to put forth good vibes and positive energy, this endeavor sought to combine a love of Earth’s elements (mainly driftwood and rocks…thus the name), art, and works of charity and conservation.
Nonprofits: Proceeds from photographic art, acrylic paintings, and nature projects will go directly to nonprofits including Ocean Alliance, Paws for Ability, Humans for the Future, and the Rhode Island Parrot Rescue. Ocean Alliance is a 4/4 start charity (per Charity Navigator) that works to reduce pollution, promote ocean and human health and and protect whales and all sea life. Paws for Ability is also a 4 star rated charity, and is the leading provider of service dogs for children and adults with disabilities and Veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. Humans for the Future and the RIPR are local Rhode Island-based nonprofits, working tirelessly for their causes.
Artist: Dr Deanna Voisine is a devoted mother, artist, author, and psychologist. She has a passion for life, family and friends, animals, traveling, gardening, surfing, and music. Originally from NY, she currently resides in Washington County RI. Her clinical practice, APS, emphasizes many of the same ideals as her art, and her life goal to help and heal others can be seen in both areas. She believes strongly in the healing components of nature and the outdoors. The power of the ocean, rocks and crystals, flowers and trees, and the sweet innocence of children can often be seen in her work. She hopes that her pieces will inspire others to see beauty in this world and to care for this planet as well as all of the creatures who reside on it, and to appreciate the simple and beautiful blessings that each day brings. She noted, “This is a great way for my children to get involved in the project, and to start taking care of our planet while they are young! Their artwork will also be featured (and they will be right by my side planting trees and picking up trash.)”
Please note: In attempts to do the most “good,” purchases of $150 or more will also include one full bag of garbage removal (from our local beaches and countrysides); purchases of $250 or more will include the planting of a tree in your honor as an added token of appreciation. Purchases of $350 or more will include a free signed copy of Dr Voisine’s first published children’s book, Parker’s Garden (available for purchase on Amazon).

Please make time allowances for possible shipping delays due to COVID. Contactless pickup options can be arranged. No profit is made from shipping, and prices are not reflective of shipping cost as that will vary based on order (receipts provided).
